Stripes for the Summer

I contemplated writing this blog about the best travel hacks. But I realized even though I travel often, I am the worst traveler. I over pack, I barely plan outfits, I can’t fold to save my life, and quite frankly, I need an assistant to create that post. On top of that, I would always be super early or super late to every flight if it wasn’t for my CLEAR pass (oooo maybe that’s a travel hack). So, let’s just stick to what I know—fashion.

Over the Fourth of July holiday, I traveled to the Caribbean with my family for vacation. Our destination was Turks and Caicos Islands—a beautiful, calm, serene, and relaxing island. I have been to TCI once before and I knew it was not a big party or touristy country, so I would be at the villa for the majority of the trip. This knowledge made packing a lot easier because all I needed was swim trunks and chill fits.

So, here I am to tell you that stripes are the “IT” pattern for the season. I kept sourcing striped swimwear while I was putting together my looks and I did not know why…until I hit that water in those stripes. Honestly, I think it is the epitome of a summer print. It is a nice pattern without veering into being tacky with all types of prints and colors. You can wear stripes at a pool party, on the yacht, or on the beach. Also, I love that the print allows for you to throw on a button down and you can wear it to lunch (in a beachy area, don’t wear swim trunks to lunch in the city).

I found all my swim trunks at H&M! Check them out below and go buy some before this hot weather is gone!

What is your favorite vacation spot? Go to swimsuit? Let me know in the comments.
